Description

The Round Towers at Tattershall Castle are the bases of the original castle, built around 1230 by Robert de Tatershal. Constructed from ashlar and repaired with brick, there are two round tower bases located on either side of the 15th-century tower. The left-hand base is only a fragment, while the right-hand base is a complete circle with an internal diameter of approximately 12 feet and stands 4 feet tall within the moat. The site is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument No. 2.
