Description

The kitchen ruins at Tattershall Castle date back to around 1440. They consist of footings made of red brick in English bond, standing 4 feet high, with broad foundations that extend into the moat. The left chamber features a drain and a circular stone vat base on the floor. To the right, there is a small addition that includes an angle drain, and beyond that is a further substantial narrow foundation. These ruins are designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
