Description
This building, originally two cottages and now a single cottage, dates from the early 18th century with mid-19th and 20th-century alterations. It features a timber frame with red brick and stock brick casing, topped by a pantile roof that has three ridge stacks and two raking dormers with casement windows. The front is single storey and attic, with a five-bay layout. To the right, there is a doorway with a wooden lintel and a plank door. To the left, there is a two-light sliding sash window with a wooden lintel, followed by a three-light sliding sash window with a segmental head. There is an early 20th-century wooden lean-to porch to the left, which includes a small square fixed window and a doorway with a plank door on the west end. Beyond this porch is another glazing bar sash window with a segmental head. The east return reveals exposed posts and a tie beam, along with a doorway featuring a plank door. The north side has two sliding sash windows with segmental heads, placed irregularly, while the west end includes a doorway with a segmental head and a plank door.
