Description

This building is a cottage dating from the early to mid-17th century. It features a rendered timber frame and a plain tile roof, consisting of two framed bays. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and has two gabled eaves dormers that contain two-light wooden casements. There are external brick end stacks. The front has two windows, which are mid- to late 19th century two-light wooden casements, and an off-centre boarded door to the right, which is sheltered by a 19th-century gabled wooden porch. There are later one-storey lean-to additions, with the one on the left having a boarded door at the front. Inside, the cottage has chamfered beams with ogee stops and a large open fireplace in the left-hand ground-floor room, which features a chamfered lintel.
