Description

The Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage located on Langton Road in Sausthorpe. It features whitewashed render over a mud and stud construction with a half hipped pantile roof and a single central rendered ridge stack. The building has a lobby entry plan and consists of a single storey plus a garret with three bays. The central doorway is fitted with a plank door, and there are pairs of glazing bar sash windows on either side, all set under segmental arches. At the rear, there is a lean-to and a lower 19th-century extension. Inside, the cottage retains a few 17th-century fret balusters.
