Description
The stable block at Sausthorpe Hall, built around 1822, is constructed from whitewashed brick and features a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves. It is set on a plinth and has a first-floor band. The building stands two storeys high and consists of eight bays, with the central two bays slightly projecting and gabled. There are two carriage archways that include key and impost blocks. On either side of these archways are two doorways with plank doors and cambered arched overlights. Further to the left and right, there are single cambered arched glazing bar casements. Above these, there are four cambered arched pivotal casements along with a single central cambered arched doorway. At the apex of the building is a single roundel. To the left, there is an attached lean-to. This stable block is included for its group value.
