Description
The Round House is an early 19th-century cottage ornée located on the north side of Church Lane in Langton by Spilsby. It features whitewashed mud and stud construction with a brick plinth. The building has a distinctive conical thatched roof with overhanging eaves, which are supported by wooden posts, creating a verandah. The structure has an octagonal plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a central chimney stack. The main entrance includes a six-fielded panel door, and five of the sides have pointed arched windows. Each window is a Yorkshire sash with two pointed arched lights and lead lozenge glazing bars. In the attic, there are two roof dormers, each containing a similar window. At the rear, there is a single-storey extension with two bays.
