Description

The Hermitage is an early 19th-century cottage ornée located in Little Durnford. It features a rendered and pink colourwashed exterior with a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of two parallel blocks. The north range has a 2-storey canted bay that is asymmetrical and includes linking blocks, while the north block is further extended by a lean-to on its north side. The cottage has timber windows, with round-headed designs on the first floor. The south block has a canted bay with leaded windows and a tiled roof. The roof is hipped and includes tall brick stacks.
