Description

The Orchard is an early 18th-century cottage that was altered in the early 20th century. It is constructed as a mud and stud cottage, which is clad in brick. The roof is made of wavy pantiles and features a central brick ridge stack. The building is a single storey plus a garret and has a two-bay lobby entrance plan. The entrance front includes a central doorway with a four-panel door and a segmental head. On either side of the doorway, there are single two-light sliding sash windows with leaded lights. Inside, the cottage retains its mud walls and has chamfered spine beams.
