Description
Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Baumber Main Road. It is constructed of mud and stud with some brick underbuilding. The cottage features a half-hipped thatched roof with a decorative ridge, an axial brick ridge stack, and an external brick stack on the left gable. The entrance is through a lobby, and the building is single storey with an attic at the rear. The front has three bays, with a central four-panelled door flanked by single fixed lights. At the left corner, a block of stone protrudes at the base, serving as a steddle stone for the corner bay post. To the left, there is a single bay pent extension. Internally, some stud framing is visible.
