Description
Nos 7 to 11 (odd) and No 11A on Cornmarket date from the mid-19th century. The building has three storeys and attics, constructed of brick with a slate roof. It features three semi-circular-headed windows in the dormers, a wooden eaves cornice with modillions, and a brick dentil cornice. The front has four windows with moulded stucco surrounds, and a stucco band that continues across the cills. The first-floor windows are adorned with cornices on brackets and stucco surrounds, although the cills are interrupted by a large modern fascia. There are remains of a 19th-century shop front, and the building accommodates three shops with a passage to the left. Nos 1 to 13A (odd), the Masons Arms Hotel, and The Corn Market form a group with this building.
