Description

No 5 Upgate is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of brick. It features a wooden eaves cornice and has three windows, each with a carved lintel and keystone, along with hung sashes that include glazing bars. The central window is blocked, and a band continues across the cills. On the first floor, one window to the right is also blocked. The ground floor has one window and a six-panel door set in a round-arched doorway, which is accessed by two steps. There is a lintel above the basement window, and to the left, there is a passage door with a round arch that leads to a plain door. This building is listed as part of a group with the Parish Church and forms part of a group with No 5 Eastgate.
