Description

No. 13 Chequergate is an 18th-century building that was refaced in the early 19th century with painted stucco. The ground floor features channelled rustication, and the side is constructed of brick. It has a hipped roof made of Welsh slate and a plinth. The building has five windows, which are hung sashes with glazing bars. The central window on the first floor has a bowed wrought iron balcony. There is an eaves cornice with a gutter that is decorated with lions' heads, and a pedimented doorcase is located at the side. No. 13, along with No. 15, forms a group.
