Description

15 Chequergate is an early 19th-century building. It is three storeys high and constructed of stucco, with brick to the side. The roof is covered in Welsh slate and has gabled ends. A stone plinth is present. Rendered stacks are situated at the gable ends. The front elevation features three hung sash windows, with the central window on the top storey blocked. A central doorcase on the ground floor is characterised by grooved pilasters and an open pediment, sheltering a six-panel door beneath a round-headed fanlight, with plain reveals. A canted bay window of three lights is located to the right. NMR records note that numbers 13 and 15 form a group.
