Description
No. 37 Brand End Road is a cottage dating from around 1670, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a pantile roof, raised brick coped tumbled gables with kneelers, and an axial clustered brick stack. The building has a two-storey, four-bay front, which includes a first-floor brick band and corbelled out eaves.
The entrance is an off-centre planked door, with a glazing bar sash window to the left and two similar windows to the right, along with a blocked doorway. All ground floor openings have segmental brick heads. On the first floor, there are two sliding glazing bar sashes and a central fixed 17th-century leaded light at the eaves. At the rear, there is an added outshut. Inside, the cottage features beamed ceilings and contemporary doors.
