Description

This is a milepost located on the south side of Main Road in Butterwick, west of the junction with Mill Lane. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron. The milepost has a triangular shape and features raised cast letters that read "Butterwick" at the top and "Boston 4 miles, Wainfleet 14" on the sides.
