Description

The Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on Weirs Lane in Butterwick. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with brick coped gables and a single rendered gable stack. The building is two stories high and has a two-bay front. On the ground floor, there is a single margin light sash window with a brick segmental head, alongside a plain sash window set in a blocked doorway. The first floor has another margin light sash window positioned at the eaves. To the right, there is a pent-roofed brick extension, and a catslide roof is present at the rear. This cottage is an example of a Fen half house.
