Description

Washdyke Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage of the Fen half house type. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond of three, topped with a pantile roof featuring brick-coped, partly tumbled gables and a single brick gable stack. The cottage is a single storey with a single bay front, which includes margin light sash windows on both floors. To the right, there is a blocked doorway. All openings are topped with brick segmental heads. The gable end features a brick inscribed with "ID".
