Description

This is a terrace of three houses located on High Street, Boston. The houses were built in the mid-18th century and subsequently altered in the 19th century. The exterior is red brick, with parts painted, and lined stucco to the ground floor. The roof is Welsh slate with a single brick coped gable and stack, and a rendered ridge stack.

The two-storey-plus-attic terrace has six bays, arranged in a 2:2:2 pattern, and features a dentilled wooden eaves cornice. A brick band runs along the first floor. Number 83 has a six-panel door with a plain overlight and two plain sash windows to the left. Number 85 has a half-glazed panel door with a plain overlight and two plain sash windows to the right. Number 87 has a 19th-century half-glazed door with a plain overlight, set within a door surround featuring narrow panelled pilasters, carved console brackets, and a moulded cornice. A single sash window is located to the left of the door. The first floor has a pair of plain sash windows with segmental brick heads to each house. Each house also has a single dormer window in the roof, with a segmental lead roof and lead cheeks. The interior of the houses has not been inspected.
