Description

A pair of late 18th-century houses, later altered in the 19th and 20th centuries, located on High Street, Boston. The houses are constructed of painted and red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a part-hipped slate roof and two rear wall stacks. They are three storeys high and have a three-bay front, featuring a wooden dentilled eaves cornice, a plinth, and a ground floor sill band. The front has two plain stucco door surrounds with recessed 20th-century doors and overlights. Number 88 has painted brickwork at ground level and plain sash windows. Number 90 incorporates a 20th-century shop window set within an arched 19th-century opening. The first floor has one 20th-century casement window and two plain sashes. The second floor has three smaller, similarly styled windows. All the windows are topped with flat, wedge-shaped painted brick arches. The interior of the properties has not been inspected.
