Description

A pair of houses, originally dating to the early 17th century, and later altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. They are now used as a house and shop, with a flat above. The buildings are constructed of rendered brickwork, with steeply pitched pantile roofs, a coped gable, and a brick gable stack.

The exterior is two storeys plus attics, with a four-bay front and a moulded eaves fascia. A low, central archway provides access to a through passage. To the left is a small 19th-century shop front featuring thin, moulded pilasters with paterae and modern glazing. To the right, a wooden shop front has a central doorway and a timber fascia. The first floor has three 20th-century cross casement windows, alongside a three-light casement window to the right. There are three modern, flat-roofed dormers in the roof.

The interior retains some moulded beams. The buildings suffered fire damage in 1990, so little of the original internal features remain.
