Description

A terrace of four late 18th-century houses, with alterations from the 19th century, is located on Pump Square, Boston. The houses are constructed of red/brown brick with a hipped slate roof and two brick ridge stacks. The three-storey facade is eight bays wide, arranged in a pattern of two bays, one bay, two bays, one bay, and two bays. A dentilled wooden cornice runs along the top of the facade. Each end of the terrace, and the two central bays, feature a 19th-century five-panel door with a small overlight, set within a heavy terracotta surround which includes a keystone and a swept fascia to a flat moulded cornice. The ground floor has four tripartite glazing bar sashes. The second floor has six glazing bar sashes and two plain sashes. The third floor has eight smaller glazing bar sashes. The interior was not inspected.
