Description
The property comprises a pair of early 19th-century houses located on Main Ridge, Boston. The houses are built of red/brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, topped with a pantile roof, coped gables, and two rebuilt gable stacks.
The front of the houses is three storeys and three bays wide. A central semicircular arched opening, originally a passage, now contains a 20th-century traceried window. This is flanked by a six-panel door within a simple pilastered surround and flat hood, and a sash window with glazing bars. The first floor has three sash windows with glazing bars, and the second floor has three smaller, similar windows. All sash windows feature segmental brick arched heads. Each floor of the gables has a single 20th-century glazing bar fixed window. A catslide roof is present at the rear, and there is a single-story section with attics.
Inside No. 12, a contemporary fire surround with roundels is found in the front room.
