Description
The Bonded Warehouse is a building from the late 18th century to the 19th century, located on Grant's Lane in Boston. It is constructed of red brick laid in English garden wall bond of three, topped with a pantile roof.
The warehouse is two storeys high with attics and features an eight-bay front. The corbelled eaves add to its architectural detail. On the ground floor, there are six openings that are barred and blocked, with a double planked doorway situated between the right-hand pair. To the left, there is a blocked window and door opening that contain small roundels. The first floor has eight openings, all blocked with sheeting, and each opening features segmental heads and brick sills. In the attic, there are two segmental-headed dormers.
The interior has not been inspected. Historically, this warehouse is associated with the Still Public House, which had its own bonded warehouse for importing wine and spirits, suggesting that this building may have been related to that use.
