Description
Old Pescod Hall is a merchant's house that has been converted into a shop. It dates back to the 15th century but was rebuilt on its current site in 1974. The building features an exposed timber frame with brick infill and has an old plain tile roof.
The exterior consists of two storeys with a side front that has six main bays and intermediate posts. There is arch bracing to the wall plates and a mid rail on both storeys. The windows and doorways are made of 20th-century timber with mullions. Inside, the roof timbers are exposed, showcasing a collar purlin and crown posts. One of the roofs is original, while the other has been constructed to match it. The interior has not been inspected.
