Description

No. 11 Wide Bargate is an inn that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of red brick, with some areas colourwashed. It features a slate roof with stone coped gables and yellow stock brick chimney stacks, along with pantile roofs at the rear.

The exterior consists of three storeys and a five-bay front, which includes a second-floor band and a timber cornice with dentils. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. On the first floor, there are five casement windows set in original segmental-headed openings, while the second floor features five plain sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
