TF 33 NW ALGARKIRK ELM LANE (east side)

9/4 Farm buildings and mounting block at Dean's Farm

G.V. II

Farm buildings comprising stables, trap house, crew yard, pigeon cote and mounting block. c.1840. Red brick, ashlar dressings, slate roofs with stone dressings. U-plan with attached trap- house range. Dentillated eaves courses. Single storey range with gable to either end. In the centre a 2 storey gabled block with a planked window to ground floor and a fixed light to gable. On the ridge a glazed wooden pigeon turret with pyramidal roof and 4 flight holes to each side. The left hand side has 2 planked doors, a glazing bar window and 3 lozenge breathers. At the right hand corner is a brick mounting block with 3 ashlar steps. At the rear is a single storey trap-house with central 2 storey gabled and advanced bay containing double planked doors under segmental arch with tall glazing bar sash to gable. The right hand side comprises 4 planked double doors with to right 3 open waggon arches. To first floor are 2 lozenge breathers, a fixed 4 light window and a planked door.
