Description

The range of farm buildings at Manor Farm, built around 1855, consists of outbuildings and a barn made of red brick with ashlar dressings and slate roofs featuring stone coped gables. This two-storey, eleven-bay structure has three doorways with stable doors, each topped with ashlar lintels and hinge blocks, followed by a wooden cross transom and mullion casement with a flush ashlar quoin surround. There are additional doorways and casements arranged in a similar manner, with six casements located above on the upper level. The building includes eleven tie plates.

To the right, there is a two-storey barn with blocked and altered openings. Adjacent to this is a single-storey, fifteen-bay outbuilding that features a central three-storey pigeoncote. The outbuilding has a blocked doorway with an ashlar lintel, a wooden cross transom and mullion casement, and several similar doorways and casements. The pigeoncote has a casement on the first floor, and decorative features include a raised band, a band of blind panelling, and an eaves band that extends around all four sides.

The hipped roof of the pigeoncote is covered with shaped slates and topped with a large glover, which has a band of wooden blind arcading with pigeon openings, and a steeply pitched hipped roof surmounted by an iron ridge and weather vane. The east side of this wing is set on a plinth and features a stone coped left gable, while the right single bay is gabled and coped. The pigeoncote includes a pointed arched opening with a wooden arched shutter, and the gabled bay has a wooden cross transom and mullion casement. All openings have flush ashlar quoin surrounds.
