Description
The Woodlands Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse that has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof with two gable stacks. The building is designed in an L-shape and stands two storeys plus attics, showcasing a five-bay front. The central entrance consists of an eight-panel door set in panelled reveals, which is framed by a 20th-century pedimented doorcase and flanked by pairs of glazing bar sash windows. The first floor has five similar windows, all of which have segmental brick heads. The roof includes five gabled dormers that are hung with slate from the 20th century. Inside, the first-floor rooms retain original panelled shutters, and there is a dogleg staircase featuring knopped and turned balusters.
