Description
Nos 15 and 17 on Main Street are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick, featuring a rendered plinth, dentil eaves, a plain tile roof, and three brick chimneys. The houses are two storeys high and have a symmetrical design with four bays. The ground floor has two-light horizontal sash windows and two 20th-century doors in the centre, all set within segmental arches made of header bricks. The sashes on the right bays have been carefully renewed in the 20th century to match the left windows. Above the doors, there are Protection and Sun fire insurance plaques. The left gable is roughcast and colourwashed. There is also a 20th-century flat-roofed wooden extension at the rear of No 15. These houses are included for their group value.
