Description
Springwood Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with later additions from the 18th century. It is constructed of stone and brick and features two storeys with an attic, arranged in an L plan. The main range consists of two units; the inner unit is made of coursed squared rubble and has casement windows along with a dormer above, while the outer unit is brick with a projecting string course and a casement window that has a segmental arched head. The building has gable coping and shows signs of a heightened roof. There is a door set in a recessed case between the two units, with a stack located at the back of this entry. Additionally, there are gable-end stacks. The projecting wing is made of brick and features casement windows with segmental arched heads, with openings that appear to be from the 20th century.
