Description

This is a milepost located on Melton Road in Waltham, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with a hollow rear. The milepost features a rounded top with the inscription "PARISH OF WALTHAM." On the left side, it indicates "TO MELTON MOWBRAY 4 MILES," and on the right side, it reads "TO GRANTHAM 12 MILES."
