Description

This is a milepost located on the east side of Melton Road in Waltham, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with a hollow rear. The top is rounded and features the lettering "PARISH OF WALTHAM." On the left side, it indicates "TO MELTON MOWBRAY 6 MILES," while the right side states "TO GRANTHAM 10 MILES."
