Description
This is a milepost located on the east side of Melton Road in Waltham, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with a hollow rear. The top is rounded and features the inscription "PARISH OF THORPE ARNOLD." On the left side, it indicates "TO MELTON MOWBRAY 3 MILES," and on the right side, it reads "TO GRANTHAM 13 MILES."
