Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with 19th-century additions. It is constructed of coursed and squared ironstone and brick, featuring limestone ashlar dressings and slate roofs. The building has rebated eaves and single brick lateral and ridge stacks. It is three storeys high and has three bays, arranged in an L-plan.

The front of the farmhouse features a central plain stone doorcase with a six-panelled door, a fanlight, and a hood supported by curved brackets. This doorcase is flanked by large glazing bar sash windows. Below each sash, there are re-used two-light mullioned cellar openings with ovolo moulded mullions. Above the door, there is a central glazing bar sash, flanked by slightly larger glazing bar sashes. The uppermost level has a central blocked opening that contains a sundial, with single eight-pane glazing bar sashes on either side. The openings on the top floor have keystones.

On the east gable, there is a casement window on each floor to the right. The rear of the farmhouse features two gabled wings to the right, along with a 19th-century porch in the return angle, which has an ogee-headed doorway. To the north, there is a single-storey 19th-century rear addition that includes a large casement window with a segmental head on the east side.
