Description

Number 3 and the adjoining outbuilding is a cottage and outbuilding dating from the early 18th century and early 19th century, with later additions and alterations from the late 19th century. The structure features arch-braced timber framing with brick nogging and is whitewashed brick. The roofs are covered with slate and pantiles, and there are rendered rubble plinths. The building has a single gable, ridge, and lateral brick stacks.

The front of the building has a three-bay layout with a single-bay outbuilding. It stands two storeys high plus a garret. The front features a slightly off-centre 19th-century panelled door, flanked by a single three-light sliding sash window. To the left, there are two blocked openings, and to the right, there is a set-back addition with a 19th-century door and a casement window with a segmental head. Above the front, there are two two-light sliding sash windows, with a two-light sliding sash to the left and an altered three-light leaded casement to the right. There is also a late 19th-century casement window with a segmental head to the far right.

The north gable has a door to the left, while the south gable features a blocked opening on the first floor and in the garret. To the right of the south gable, there is a single-storey shed with a garage opening, and next to it, a panelled door.
