Description
Mill House is a water mill and mill house, now converted into a residence, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed brick and features Swithland slate roofs, with rebated eaves and a single coped gable. The building is two storeys high with attics and has two bays.
The west front has a set-back bay on the left, which contains a three-light Yorkshire sash window with a segmental head. To the right, there is a projecting bay with a six-panel door, where the top panels are glazed. Adjacent to this door is a glazing bar sash window with a segmental head. Above the door to the left is a casement window with a segmental head, and to the right is a larger glazing bar sash window. All of these windows are fitted with louvred shutters.
On the rear of the house, there is an off-centre panelled door, which is flanked on the left by a sliding sash window and on the right by a casement window. Beyond this, to the right, is another sliding sash window, both of which have segmental heads. Above these, there are three sliding sash windows, all with segmental heads, and further up, to the right, is a small leaded casement window. The north gable features two small lean-to single-storey additions.
