Description
Glebe Cottage is a cottage and service wing dating from the late 18th century, with 19th-century alterations and 20th-century additions. It features box framing with brick nogging and brickwork, and is partly rendered. The roofs are steeply pitched, with thatch and a lean-to slate covering. There is a rendered plinth and three brick gable stacks. The building is two storeys high with a two-bay front and a single-bay service wing.
The front of the cottage has a central part-glazed close boarded door, flanked by single three-light glazing bar casements. To the right of the door is a half-glazed door. Above, to the left, there is a three-light casement, and to the right, a three-light sliding sash. The right gable features two small casements, and above them is a central sliding sash with a segmental head. The left gable displays exposed framing with corner posts, a tie beam, a collar, and studs.
At the rear, there is a 20th-century casement to the left, and to the right, a door and a 19th-century casement. Above, to the left, is an eyebrow dormer, and to the right, there are two casements, all from the 20th century.
