Description

Mill Lock and Bridge, built in 1797, is a disused lock and bridge located off Mill Lane on the north side in Frisby and Kirby. The structure is made of brick with stone dressings. The lock features stone coping and a curved sill. The bridge has a single elliptical arch and curved parapet walls that include a band, battered abutments, and saddleback brick coping. There are four square terminal piers topped with stone caps. These structures are part of the works of the Wreake Navigation.
