Description
The Belvoir Hunt kennels, located 1200 meters southeast of Belvoir Castle, were built in 1802. The structure is made of rendered and colourwashed brick and features slate roofs. It consists of a single-storey square central block with arched entrances on the east and west sides, topped with a hipped roof. At the center of the roof is an octagonal turret, which has alternating casement windows and an oculus on its facets, all covered by a pitched octagonal roof. The interior is divided into four side rooms, each designated for one of the four packs of hounds. From these rooms, there is access to four outer compounds, which are enclosed by brick walls and wooden railings. The corners of the entire square enclosure are accented by low hipped turrets.
