Description

The secondary stables at Belvoir Castle, located 20 meters northeast of the main stables, are an early 18th-century structure. This U-shaped building is constructed from coursed ironstone and features roofs made of graded Swithland slate. It stands two storeys high, with a house at the north end. The entrance door is positioned to the right of the center, accompanied by one 20th-century casement window to the right and two to the left. On the first floor, there are two casement windows. The building has a coved and plastered eaves cornice beneath a gabled roof, which includes one dormer on the right side.

Internally, there is a west gable-end stack with three limestone flues, and a similar ridge stack is located to the left of the center. The rear features a carriage entrance under a segmental brick arch, with a loose box door to the right and two tack room doors further right. The first floor also has two early 18th-century casement windows, and the coving continues along this elevation. The south return displays scattered fenestration and doorways, with a gabled roof that includes two stacks similar to those on the main building.
