Description
The sculpture depicting Autumn is located in the Belvoir Castle Sculpture Garden and dates from around 1680. It was created by Caius Gabriel Cibber and is one of seven statues in the garden. The sculpture features a square pedestal with recessed panels that showcase high relief carvings of the Manners family crests and other heraldic devices. The figure is a clothed female who supports her chin with one hand while holding back a dog with the other.
