Description

The summerhouse in Spring Gardens at Belvoir Castle dates from around 1810. It is made of timber and features a thatched roof. The design is rustic, constructed from tree branches with tree trunks serving as the main supports. Above the arched entrance, there is a 4-light Geometric window with tracery that includes three encircled quatrefoils, all made from tree branches. The roof has an irregular, pitched shape. Inside, the summerhouse has wall arches and a wavy interlace design.
