Description

The Rectory, located on Rectory Lane in Woolsthorpe by Belvoir, is a late 18th-century building that was altered and extended in the mid-19th century, with minor 20th-century changes. Constructed primarily of red brick with a slate roof, it features one stone coped gable and three red brick stacks.

The main facade is two storeys and five bays wide, with the two bays on the left being a taller, projecting section from the 19th century. A central half-glazed door is sheltered by a square brick porch with half-glazed double doors and bordered lights, flanked by single fixed windows. To the left of the entrance are two taller 19th-century sash windows, while to the right are two smaller 18th-century windows of a similar style. The first floor has five glazing bar sashes. The 18th-century windows are distinguished by segmental brick arches, whereas the 19th-century windows have flat brick arches. The rear of the building incorporates an earlier stone phase, which has been significantly altered over time.
