Description
Ashleigh is a cottage located on Main Street in Stathern, dating from the 18th century, with extensions and alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and coursed rubble, which has been painted, and it features a pantile roof with brick ridge and end stacks. Originally, it likely had a two-unit plan but has been extended by one bay. The cottage is two storeys high and has a three-window range. There is a 20th-century porch to the left of the center, topped with a pantiled lean-to roof. The windows on the ground and first floors are two-light casements, with the ground floor windows having segmental-arched brick heads and wood lintels above the first-floor windows. The eaves are stepped in brick. The interior has not been inspected.
