Description

Lawn Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage with additions made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It is constructed of brick and has a roof of Swithland slate, with coped gables and cogged eaves. There are two gable stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. The front elevation features a central, two-storey gabled Gothic porch with a chamfered pointed doorway and a close-boarded door. To the left of the porch is a casement window with a segmental head. To the right is a lean-to addition, containing a casement window with a segmental head. Further to the right is a single-storey addition with a 20th-century door and casement window. Above the porch is a small casement window, and to the right of that a single sliding sash window.
