Description

Forge Cottage is an early 19th century cottage with an addition from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with a plain tile roof. The original part of the cottage is two storeys and two bays wide, with a bay added to one end and a store to the other. The front elevation features an added bay to the left (LH). A plank door is located between the original bays, set within a gabled, weatherboarded porch. The windows are 2-light casements with segmental heads. Brick stacks are situated at each end of the original section and at the left-hand end, with a large external stack where the roof is carried round it. To the right-hand end (RH) is a two-bay weatherboarded store with a hipped roof.
