Description
Consort Cottage is a cottage built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of brick, with some blue headers, and features an old plain tile roof. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has three bays, with a crosswing in front of one bay and a verandah on the others. The front has a crosswing on the right-hand side. The other two bays have a pent-roofed verandah supported by four timber posts. Beneath the verandah, there is a panelled door with a segmental head, and each side has a two-light casement window. Above each bay, there are gabled dormers with two-light windows. The crosswing features two-light casement windows in an architrave on both floors, along with a wide, raised band on the first floor. All windows are cast-iron lattice-paned casements. The roof includes a stack with four diamond-shaped shafts, set diagonally, located between the left-hand bays and at the junction of the ridges.
