Description
The Cheney Arms is a public house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a Swithland slate roof. The building has a first-floor band and dentillated eaves, along with three gable stacks. It stands three storeys high and has three bays in a double range plan. The front of the building includes a central part-glazed six-panelled door with an overlight, flanked by single three-light cross casements. Above this, there is a central stair window with a two-light cross casement, flanked by single two-light cross casements on the first floor and single two-light casements on the second floor. All openings have segmental brick heads. The rear elevation has a regular arrangement of windows similar to those at the front.
