Description

Park House is a house dating from around 1790, with additions made around 1900. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and has hipped slate roofs. The brickwork features a plinth, bands marking the first and second floors, moulded eaves, and a plain parapet. The house has 3 lateral and 2 ridge stacks. It originally comprised three bays, arranged in a square plan.

The windows are mostly glazing bar sashes with flat arches. The south front has a central stone doorcase. This contains a recessed panelled door flanked by single fixed windows set on square pedestals, each topped with a round-headed niche. A moulded transom and elliptical fanlight are present above the door, with curved brackets supporting the flat hood. Curved steps with ramped iron handrails lead to the entrance. The south front is flanked by tripartite glazing bar sashes with flat brick arches. Above these are three smaller glazing bar sashes, and above those, a further three smaller sashes, all with flat brick arches. To the left of the original three-bay section is a single-storey billiard room with a parapet, a tripartite glazing bar sash, and flanking single sashes.

The west side features a two-storey rear wing to the left, with two casements on the ground floor and a glazing bar sash above. To the right of the original section is the billiard room, with two similar sashes. Above this are a casement and a French window; above again, a casement and a sash. The east side of the rear wing has a door with a fanlight to the left and two casements with segmental heads to the right. Above are three casements.
